A project that Mark Weinstein and I have been spearheading at Paramount+ since January in coordination with the fabulous creative team at Roku launches tomorrow 5/25. If you have a Roku device, please check it out. Respective tip of the hat to Haley Mandel and Mallika Dattatreya for being our guiding force wrangling approvals, communication and strategy in house. Huge shout out to the wonderfully collaborative and multi talented Michael Bruza and his fabulous crew of artists and illustrators including Karla Salas Tim Cook Brett Pearce for coming up with fun directions to bring our properties to life in Roku’s wonderful style. Additional props to Mark Goodwin who influenced what Roku City is today and guided design behind the scenes, Jiaan Rajabzadeh for corralling the various cats amongst our two studios, Laura Isaacs for running point on Roku’s end and our own fabulous Jessica Vaage for creating all the billboards in Roku city. And last but definitely not least, many thanks to Matthew Hernandez for his guidance and giving us the freedom to play in this sandbox. To anyone who I may have forgotten to thank here, you also have my thanks and gratitude for your contribution to what was an exhaustive but equally thrilling, fulfilling and wonderful project. ¡Salud!

:::looks at calendar::: “Wait, we’re already 3 weeks in?”
Just wanted to give a massive shoutout for all the teams involved in our 2025 NFL Streams Brand Campaign. This is the 4th (5th?) year now of this initiative, and I think it’s probably our best for many reasons. Love that we went for a bold copy heavy campaign. The simplicity of the look covers the fact that this was a ridiculously layout-intensive exercise. With over 70 different contextual lines for dozens of markets across the country that were then tied to our COUNT ON SUNDAYS headline, this was truly a project for cool, calm, and collected heads.

This is my favorite time of year. I love fútbol. I’m not a super deep-in-the-weeds fan, but I do enjoy watching a good 90-minute match between some talented fútbolistas.
As a creative, I also really enjoy working on these Evergreen campaigns, because they’re the closest in scope in sports marketing that leans into a movie poster aesthetic. The game is important, but the big draw is the athletes, more so than in many other team sports. We worked on two sets for UEFA this season, and this post focuses on the Men’s UEFA Champions League.
